I bought a low entry laptop, being cheap bastard that I am, with an intention to try Windows 11 out, only to delete it afterward. I was not thrilled with the Windows 11 architecture, despite being out of sync with any Microsoft Windows for years (I have not even tried Windows 7, 8, or 10).
Instead, I booted in the Fedora OS Installion via USB flash drive. Fedora OS 42 works like a beauty, so much that it reminds me of Mac OS or a bit of Ubuntu.
As for gaming, I was able to install Steam program. It works seamlessly. And to add the classics: I was more curious about OpenRA project, so I tried it out. The project comes with free Real-Time Strategy engine based on Dune 2000, Red Alert, and Tiberian Sun.
Even if you don’t run Linux, it is playable on Windows and Mac OS. Online multiplayer feature is also available. Check it out while you can.
